The definition of madness is to continue doing what hasn’t worked – if you’ve gone to training with someone who’s used to Collies, Spaniels or Labradors they will have taught you how to train that type of dog – Bull Breeds are not collies etc they truly are a breed apart – the term hard headed wasn’t created for Collies or Poodles for a reason.
If you want to have that ‘lightbulb moment’ it’s down to either you or the dog to get some education and the dog doesn’t have a laptop or phone.
Education for bull breed owners should be fun, you should enjoy watching those ‘lightbulb moments’ and really get a buzz and be amazed how great your dog can be when they actually know what you want.
If you were dropped in a country where you didn’t speak a word of the language you’d educate yourself – that’s the situation your dog is in but they need you to get the education.
The courses we provide are bull breed specific because we’ve had them for over 30 years with Mastiffs, Boxers etc so we’re not talking theoretically. We don’t want to bombard you with information on why a boxer had it’s tail docked, or the origins or a French bulldog and we don’t want to bore you to tears with an hour of dog training video which doesn’t do anything.
The courses we have are short, 10 minute burst video’s with no fluff but each day you’ll have a simple task to practise with your dog so you instantly see a win. It takes about 5 minutes 3 times a day but if you’re dog isn’t understanding take an extra day and then move to the next day. Any dog and certainly a bull breed is not a robot but make sure to get the days course right before moving on – if you need to watch the video again do that
There has never been a better time in history to self educate – if you don’t do it now when will you and if you don’t do it at all the problem will never go away and you’ll miss out on having your best friend and end up with a dog you resent for years to come.
